For use in sampling soils, auger has 1-1/2" dia. x 4" long (38mm x 102mm) spiral-type auger bit. Features graduation marks every 6" (152mm). Overall length is 36" (915mm), including handle. Screw-on handle permits attachment of H-4251 extension for sampling beyond 36" depths. Meets ASTM D420, D1452; AASHTO T86, T202. Shipping wt. 6 lbs. (2.7kg).
